Sidharth Bharathan launches the official teaser of ‘Djinn’ on mom late KPAC Lalitha’s birthday

KPAC Lalitha’s son filmmaker Sidharth Bharathan has launched the official teaser of his upcoming film ‘Djinn’ on his mom’s birth anniversary, seeking her blessings. Veteran actor KPAC Lalitha passed away on February 22, and this Wednesday (Mar 9) marked the 16th day since her demise, and it also marked the end of the mourning period, as per Hindu beliefs. Since today (Mar 10) also marked KPAC Lalitha’s birthday, son Sidharth Bharahan launched the teaser of his next, featuring Soubin Shahir in the lead.
“Yesterday was the 16th day after her demise..which marks the official end of the mourning period..and today happens to be her birthday, so I have decided to bounce back to my work on this auspicious day itself with the release of the teaser of @djinn_malayalam_movie need your support and blessings friends to help me tide over this monumental loss of my mother #sydart,” Sidharth Bharathan wrote, sharing the teaser.

The teaser features Soubin Shahir as Lalu, who seems to be struggling with a dissociative identity disorder. The intriguing teaser has already grabbed the attention of the cinephiles. The film will be heading to the theatres soon.

Directed by Sidharth Bharathan, ‘Djinn’ features Soubin Shahir in the titular role, while actors Santhy Balachandran, Sharafudheen, Shine Tom Chacko, Sabumon, Leona Leeshoy, KPAC Lalitha, Jaffar Idukki, Nishanth Sagar, and Gilu Joseph in some pivotal roles. The screenplay and dialogues are crafted by Rajesh Gopinadhan. Gireesh Gangadharan has roped in as the cinematographer, while Deepu Joseph is the editor. Prashant Pillai is in charge of the music department.
