Seems like actor John Kaippallil has a penchant for picking antagonist roles. The actor, who was last seen as a womanising physical instructor in Midhun Manuel Thomas' Ann Maria Kalippilanu, has been roped in to play a character with negative shades in director Siddique's Fukri.
On his role, John says, 'I will be playing Ubaid Fukri, who is a member of a Muslim family. I cannot reveal much about the role because my character is part of the suspense of the film.'
Director Siddique confirms John's casting.

'He belongs to Fukri family that also has characters essayed by Lal and Sashi Kumar. John has a distinct role. He's sort of the villain in the movie,' he explains.
John has done a slew of supporting roles since debuting in Thattathin Marayathu as Aysha's close friend Imitiaz in the movie. He later went on to act with Ajith in Gautham Menon's Yennai Arindhaal.
'I had a good role in the film as a police officer but it was my recent role in Ann Maria Kalippilaanu that truly got me noticed,' he says.
