Shritha makes a 'bold' comeback to M-town

beauty Shritha Sivadas has been away from the limelight after her wedding in 2014, but she had vowed to return to cinema if good projects came along. Shritha will soon be seen on the silver screen again, as the heroine of the upcoming film Dum, directed by Anu Ram. The actress, who has mostly played village belles in her first innings, returns with a bold character in her latest film.

'My character Sherin is a simple yet bold character. She belongs to an affluent family but doesn't behave like a rich woman,' says Shritha, whose character is also the love interest of Shine Tom Chacko in the movie. Anu Ram explains, 'Sherin is a student and knows Antony ' played by Shine Tom ' since her childhood. Actor Lal and actress-activist Parvathy play her parents.'

The actress, whose last film was Koothara released in 2014, apparently missed films during her sabbatical in Dubai. 'I used to watch movies ' classics to comedies ' during my days there. Though an actress, I wasn't much aware of critically acclaimed movies. So, my friends used to advise me to check out some interesting films. Day in and day out I would watch films. I really missed Mollywood.' Shritha is married to a Dubai-based RJ-cum-programme producer Deepak, and says her husband is quite supportive of her career. 'He considers acting as any other profession and doesn't have a problem with me pursuing a career in films,' she signs off.
