Mollywood's legendary actress Shobana has officially joined the cast of the much-awaited magnum opus ‘Ramayana’, which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The 'Thudarum' actress will reportedly portray Kaikasi, the mother of Ravana.Shobana - "Honoured to be part of a story that has shaped generations"Shobana took to her social media handle to share the 'Ramayana' glimpse video and penned a heartfelt note that read ,“Honoured to be part of a story that has shaped generations. Welcome to the world of Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana, the immortal story of Rama vs Ravana. Grateful to walk this path, and to share it with all of you.” Shobana ended the note by writing, "Our Truth. Our History." The film boasts a stunning ensemble including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. In Hindu mythology, Kaikasi is often seen as a symbol of both maternal devotion and unyielding ambition.
