Malayali actress Shivani Bhai is on a high with her debut Tamil flick, Naanga, getting an overwhelming response in Tamil. And what's more! She has been getting good offers from K-Town following the success of the flick, which has singer Mano's son Shakeer as the villain. "The film did me a world of good. The song 'Potta Pullai' that stars me and Muneesh has been lapped up by the masses," says Shivani.
There's news from the Mollywood front too, with a long-pending project getting ready for release. Director Raghunath Paleri's Kanneerinu Madhuram has her playing a negative role. Although Shivani has films such as Rahasya Police (in which she is paired opposite Jayaram) and Annan Thambi (that has her playing
Mammootty's sister) in her Mollywood account, it's K'wood that gave her the much-needed break.
Precisely why she is set to experiment more in the Tamil film industry. "I've been offered a few good scripts in Tamil now and I hope to live up to the expectations of the audience in all my forthcoming flicks," says Shivani, who is married to Kerala Ranji cricket player Prasanth Parameswaran.
