Sheetal Shyam in Aabhasam

The upcoming Malayalam film Aabhasam seems to be different in more ways than one. The title itself - Aabhasam- is apparently a shortened version of Arsha Bharata Samskaram! A satire, it stars Rima Kallingal and Suraj Venjaramoodu as the lead characters.
And that's not all, transgender activist Sheetal Shyam will be seen in the film, in an important role, alongside Indrans, Nasar, Alencier, Mamukkoya etc.Sheetal has been at the forefront when it comes to transgender rights, and was recently in the news when she landed a job at the Kochi metro.
Directed by Jubith Namradath, Aabhasam tells the story of a group of people who travel by bus from Bangalore to Kerala. The music of the film has been composed by Oorali.
