Mollywood actor Shankar is making his grand comeback with his upcoming movie ‘Ormakalil’ and the makers announced the release date of the movie which is scheduled for September 23rd.
Helmed by the director M Vishwaprathap, ‘Ormakalil’ is touted to be a family suspense thriller and the story penned down by the director himself, focuses on the central character Veena Balachandran and some of the mysterious happenings around her.

Shankar will be playing a DIG character in ‘Ormakalil’ and it will be after a long gap that the veteran actor is playing the lead in a movie. Nithin K Raj is roped in as the cinematographer for ‘Ormakalil’ and the editing section will be handled by Vipin Mannoor. Joy Maxwell will be composing the songs in the movie and will be crooned by the singers Jassie Gift and Sujatha Mohan. Sudhendhu Raju will be composing the background score whereas the costume department will be handled by Ravikumarapuram.

Apart from Shankar, ‘Ormakalil’ also features the actors Shaju Sreedhar, Nazar Latheef, Deepa Kartha, Poojitha Menon, Vijayakumari, Ajay, Aaryan Kathooria, Roshan Abdul, Master Daivik, Sreeram Sharma, and Satheesh Thripparappu in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, according to the reports Mammootty’s ‘Rorschach’ will be hitting the big screens on September 29. The film which is touted as a thriller is directed by Nisam Basheer under the script penned down by the ‘Iblis’ fame Sameer Abdul. Recently the makers unveiled an intriguing trailer for the movie that also featured the actors Kottayam Nazeer, Bindhu Panicker, Sharafudheen, and several others playing significant roles.
