The much-anticipated Malayalam film ‘Little Hearts’ has been banned in GCC countries, the makers announced today, just a day before its scheduled theatrical release. The romantic comedy drama, starring Shane Nigam and Mahima Nambiar in lead roles, faced the ban due to unknown reasons.
Producer Sandra Thomas, through her Instagram note, expressed her disappointment over the ban, stating that the specific reason behind the decision could not be disclosed at the moment. Speculations abound regarding the ban, with some suggesting the presence of a mysterious element in the film as a possible cause.
The producer’s statement read, “Unfortunately, the reason for the ban cannot be disclosed at this time. Some speculate that there is a mysterious element in the film that led to the ban.”
Her note further read, ““This news comes as a huge disappointment as we put our heart and soul into making this film. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Directed by Aby Treesa Paul and Anto Jose Perera, ‘Little Hearts’ boasts a stellar supporting cast including Baburaj, Jaffer Idukki, Shine Tom Chacko, and others. The screenplay, penned by Rajesh Pinnadan, promises a blend of romance and comedy set against a picturesque rural backdrop.
