Shamna slams marriage rumours

Rumours about Shamna Kasim’s wedding have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. Speculation has also been rife about her relationship status and her purported love affair. However, the actress is totally upset about the rumours and says that the marriage ‘news’ has been created by gossip-mongers.“I am getting messages and phone calls asking for a confirmation about my wedding. Believe it or not, I am very much single. If I am to get married, I myself will proudly announce the good news to the whole world. I am not at all a social media person. Why should I use that platform to declare the most important decision of my life?” When asked how the rumours could have caught fire, the actress reasons, “In a recent interview with a magazine, I revealed a past relationship. Unfortunately, certain sections of the media tweaked the matter and began reporting that I would enter into wedlock soon,” the dancer-actress clears the air, adding that she is in no hurry to get hitched. “I am in no hurry to get married. In fact, I am happy about my career graph and really wish to do more films. Marriage is a lifelong commitment; and I wouldn’t be making any impulsive decisions,” she says. “A lot of substantial roles are coming my way from Tamil and Telugu, and I am happy with the way my career is progressing. I am currently busy with a Tamil movie helmed by Suraaj, in which I am doing a peppy dance number with Jayam Ravi. More projects are coming up,” Shamna signs off.
