Shall we re-release Guppy? Tovino asks viewers

has had the same fate of several other Malayalam movies in the past. The film failed to make an impact at the box-office but when it was released as a CD, became a huge hit. Guppy's CD was released recently, and has received a raving response from the audience. A happy Tovino posted this on his social networking page, but with a strange request.

"I'm asking this because my producer asked me to. Many told me that they missed seeing Guppy in theatres. Was that a real genuine coment? Shall we re-release the film then? Will you all go to the theatres and watch the film?
It's sad for us that a theatre quality film is being enjoyed on mobile and laptop screens."'

The responses range from 'But we all did watch the film in theatres' to 'oh no, if you do that, the same people will say they lost 100 rupees'.
