Shaji Padoor: Nirbhaya has no connection to the Delhi gang rape case

After his directorial debut

that had Mammootty in the lead, filmmaker Shaji Padoor is all set to work on a survival thriller that has Namitha Pramod in the lead.

The movie is titled

Nirbhaya

and is set to go on floors this month. With respect to the title, Shaji tells us, “The film has no connection to the Delhi gang rape case. This is a totally different subject.”

The filmmaker also says that they will be finalising the rest of the cast of the movie, scripted by

Praveen Narayanan

, in a week’s time. Namitha’s character is said to be one of the toughest she has essayed so far.
