The Yakshis and vampires are returning to Malayalam cinema, thanks to the immense box office success of Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer ‘Lokah’! After ‘Lokah’, yet another Malayalam film centered around a vampire is gearing up for release.
Amala Paul and
Ranjith Sajeev, of ‘Golam’ fame, are teaming up for an upcoming film titled ‘Half’. The film was launched last year, and the makers have now dropped the second look poster. They also confirmed that the film will hit the big screens this year. The new poster features Amala Paul, Ranjith Sajeev, and Aishwarya Raj. Ranjith has vampire-like teeth with blood on his clothes, while Aishwarya's character looks fatally injured. One can also see the car in the foreground.
“Pain remembers its enemy, and the Night remembers the scream. Unveiling @amalapaul @ranjithsajeev & @_aiswaryaa_a in HALF. Releasing in Cinemas Worldwide in 2026 in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil & Kannada,” the makers captioned.

‘Half’ is directed by Samjad P S, who has previously delivered ‘Golam’, which featured Ranjith Sajeev in the lead role. The upcoming film has three lead actors - Amala Paul, Ranjith Sanjeev, and Aishwarya Raj.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Amala Paul's last outing in Malayalam was 'Level Cross'. She delivered the award-winning 'Aadujeevitham', the same year.
On the personal front, Amala Paul and her husband Jagat Desai welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on June 11, 2024. They announced the big news via social media. “It's a boy! Meet our little miracle, "ILAI" born on 11.06.2024,” the couple said in an Instagram post. The new parents often share glimpses of their child on social media. Talking to Chennai Times earlier, Amala Paul spoke about how her husband has supported her during her journey of motherhood. “Jagat supported me all through pregnancy and early motherhood with so much love, exactly what I needed. During my first trimester, I wanted space as everything felt overwhelming; I could only eat food cooked by my mom. In the second trimester, I went through mood swings. Jagat loved me through it all, and his support showed me just how much he cared. It made me feel like I could get through anything. Often, during pregnancy, everyone focuses on the baby, but they forget how a mother's emotions can affect both her and the baby's health.”Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
