Sarvopari Palakkaran movie review highlights: An engaging yet meandering first half

Director Venugopan's Sarvopari Palakkaran is Anoop Menon's movie as a hero after a long gap. The actor plays a cop named CI Jose Kaithaparambil in the film, which also has Anu Sithara and Aparna Balamurali as the heroines.
The script, by Suresh Babu of Shikkar fame, makes you wonder where the protagonist is actually heading in the first half. Anoop's character is a conservative Palakkaran achayan who is investigating an assault case.The first half is aout how Anupama, an independent bold woman played by Aparna, comes in his way, inadvertently, on and off.
Anu Sithara plays Anoop's fiance. The first half keeps you engaged, though wondering what exactly is the priority for the Palakkaran. Aparna steals the show in the first half, though one can't help finding the shades of Maheshinte Prathikaaram's Jumsy in her, every now and then.
