Hariharan, the assistant of AR Murugadoss. The pooja function of the film took place in Chennai and Sarath Appani was present with the rest of the cast and crew. Also present at the function was Abin’s mentor AR Murugadoss, who has directed blockbuster films like Sarkar and Darbar.

I portray the main negative character pitted against the hero, played by Aari Arujunan, who had won the last edition of Bigg Boss Tamil,” says Sarath Appani, who is set to start shoot in Chennai on January 21. The film was scheduled to start filming in March 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic. The action film has Aari playing a cop, with Vidya Pradeep as his co-star.

Sarath Appani has also worked on a couple of films since the lifting of pandemic restrictions. His Mission C, a road thriller movie, marks Sarath’s debut foray as a romantic hero. The film directed by Vinod Guruvayoor has Meenakshi Dinesh playing the female lead and is scheduled for theatre release in April.
