Sarath Appani-film Mission-C's first look poster launched

of Sarath Appani’s upcoming film, titled Mission-C, was released on social media earlier today, and it has the total feel of a thriller. The film, written and directed by Vinod Guruvayoor, has Meenakshi Dinesh playing the female lead.

Speaking about the film which has him in the lead role, Sarath says, “This is a

road thriller

movie, but it also has romance and drama. It is also definitely a cinematic experience that will be enjoyed by the entire family.” Mission-C, with the slogan “Chasing Beyond Limits” is set for a summer (April or May) release.

“The film is about the thrilling incidents that take place over a day. Shot in the hills around Idukki, it will also offer a visually stunning experience. It is a different role for me and I am excited for audiences to see me portray this emotional character. He is a very forthcoming and bold person, and doesn’t shy away as a youth would generally do,” says Sarath, who won over Malayali audiences through his very first roles in Angamaly Diaries and Velipadinte Pusthakam. He plays a student who participates actively when an issue needs attention.

According to the actor, this is a different film not only for him, but also for the director, who treats this subject in a different way from his earlier films, Sakalakalashala and Shikamani. Mission-C marks the debut of Meenakshi Dinesh, who had earlier essayed the youthful version of Nyla Usha’s character in Porinju Mariyam Jose, in a lead role. Sushant Sreeni is the DoP. Music is by Hony and Parthasarathy to lyrics by Sunil G Cherukadavu.

Sarath Appani is also shooting for a Tamil film, directed by Abin Hariharan, who was AR Murugadoss’ assistant.
