Samyuktha shines in a white saree for the pre-release event of ‘Vaathi’

Actress Samyuktha is eagerly waiting for the release of her next Tamil-Telugu bilingual ‘Vaathi/ Sir’, which has Dhanush in the lead role and hits the big screens this Friday (Feb 17). The team of ‘Vaathi’ was on a promotional tour lately, and Samyuktha’s latest pictures are taking the internet by storm.

For the pre-release event of ‘Vaathi’, Samyuktha and her co-star Dhanush twinned in white. The beauty slipped into a white embellished and embroidered saree. She paired the stunning saree with a long-sleeve blouse and looked absolutely breathtaking. For accessories, she chose a pair of diamond ear cuff, teamed with a diamond necklace with an emerald necklace. Hair tied into a neat high pony with waves, Samyuktha definitely made heads turn.

Samyuktha herself dropped some pictures from the pre-release event and captioned, “All things bright and happy from yesterday night ✨✨✨✨ #sirprerelease #vaathi #sir.”

Meanwhile, Samyuktha recently made headlines, after the actress dropped her ‘Menon’ surname. “When I want to see equality, humanity and love all around, keeping a surname makes it very contradictory to what I want,” she said.

The actress also stated that she dropped the surname (which suggests a certain community), as it is her responsibility as an actor. “When I understood the responsibility of becoming an actor, I realized I shouldn’t have it (surname),” she added. The actress also stated that her parents’ separation is another reason for her decision of dropping the surname, “Also, my parents are divorced and my mother wished to not retain my father’s surname. I wanted to respect my mother’s feelings, because, from the day I was born, it was only her around. If anything, I would keep her name with her permission. But she said she had carefully chosen my name and Samyuktha Sreedevi doesn't have a good ring to it.”
