Samvrutha Sunil's mega birthday bash

Actress Samvrutha Sunil, who turns 25 on October 31, will have a mega birthday bash tonight. 'It will be a complete surprise for her, as she has no clue what is planned for her birthday. As her wedding is on November 1, all her cousins are here. Since her mehndi function was on Tuesday night, we decided to celebrate her birthday the next day,' says her sister Sanjuktha.
'We've planned to dance to some of the hit songs from her films and to buy her a Disney-themed birthday cake, since her husband-to-be, Akhil Jayaraj, works with The Walt Disney company in the US,' Sanjuktha tells us.
It is part of the North Malabar tradition to have an elaborate mehndi night as well as a grand feast on the days before the wedding at the bride's house. Samvrutha will be having a double celebration of sorts this time round, says her sister. So was the wedding date fixed a day after her birthday on purpose? 'Oh no! The date was fixed by the groom's family as per astrology. It was just a coincidence that it fell on the day after her birthday,' says Sanjuktha, and adds that Samvrutha's fiance arrived from the US a few days back. 'He too has some special birthday surprises planned for his bride-to-be,' she says.
