In the wake of
Sudani from Nigeria
actor Samuel Abiola Robinson slamming its makers of racial charge by underpaying him, the producers
Sameer Thahir and Shyju Khalid had issued as press statement revealing that he was paid the entire amount as was agreed upon.
While Samuel had earlier said that his remuneration was much less than Rs 5 lakh, the producers’ statement has now prompted him to divulge the exact amount. The
African actor
posted his contract on social media, in which the remuneration was mentioned at USD 1800, which is around Rs 1.17 lakh.
The actor had earlier said that he put in five months of work for the movie and had initially signed it considering it’s a low-budget film.
However, with the film being a success, Samuel was required by the makers for the promotions, and he now claims that the producers had offered him money if the film runs well in the box office – a promise that he says is not yet honoured.
