Salim Kumar stars in a short film

The enthusiasm to forward video clips featuring women in compromising positions is nothing new on social media.

But, how would someone handle it when a family member gets featured in such a clip and it lands on their phone?
Filmmaker Hafiz Muhammad's short film

, which has National Award winner actor Salim Kumar in the lead, handles such a situation faced by a Malayali family. Salim Kumar plays the role of a father, who has a daughter studying in Class 10 and gets featured on such a video.

"The story belongs to the genre of drama and he plays a character named Madhavan. We can't claim any novelty to the subject, but I don't think such an issue has been handled from the perspective of a father yet, in our films," the director says.
The movie also has Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum fame actor-cop Sibi Thomas playing the role of a police officer, Unda fame actor Lukman Lukku,

, Jayan Cherthala and others as part of the cast. It was shot mostly in Tripunithura.
