Saiju Kurup, Siju Wilson in wedding comedy Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan

Actor Saiju Kurup will play the lead in director Arun Vaiga's upcoming comedy entertainer titled

Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan

. The title poster of the movie, which also has Siju Wilson and Shabareesh Varma in pivotal roles, was released recently. The film is co-produced by Dulquer Salmaan.

The film marks the second directorial of Arun, who had earlier helmed Askar Ali's Chemparathipoo. On the upcoming film, he tells us, "It revolves around a wedding of a Hindu middle class family. The story happens on a single day. Saiju chettan plays the titular character of Gunda Jayan and the movie is about how his character is holding the wedding of his nephew."

The team has already finished shooting the movie in Cherthala and the place's culture has a major place in the story. "It's a feel-good movie and has a lot of lively moments just like in real-life weddings," says the director.

Apart from Saiju, Siju and Shabareesh, the movie also has Johnny Antony, Sabumon, Hareesh Kanaran, Shani Shaki, Sudheer Karamana, Jaffer Idukki, Biju Sopanam, Sagar Surya, Vrinda Menon and Nayana.

Bijibal is the music director of the movie, which is scripted by Rajesh Varma.
