Sai Dhanshika is a visually-challenged dancer in Solo

Her previous film is Kabali
Filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar has already rounded up a stellar ensemble cast for his upcoming Malayalam-Tamil bilingual Solo with Dulquer Salmaan, Arti Venkatesh, Sruthi Hariharan, Sai Tamhankar and Prakash Belawadi.

The latest to join the movie is

Kabali

fame Sai Dhanshika, who would be making her Mollywood debut.
Confirming the casting, Bejoy tells us, “She will be joining the third schedule of the film in Kochi. Dhanshika plays a visually-challenged dancer and is its female protagonist.”

Apart from Dhanshika, the director has also roped in Tamil actor Sathish, Soubin Shahir and John Vijay. The latter duo are also part of Dulquer’s next release, Comrade in America. The team of Solo had wrapped up the second schedule in Mumbai a month ago, and has another one planned in Shimla in May.

On directing Dulquer, Bejoy says, “It’s been an absolute pleasure working with him. He’s one of the best actors of his generation, so I am feeding off his skills.”

Solo also marks Bejoy’s directorial debut in Mollywood. So, what’s different? “Nothing really,” he says. “Every film comes with its set of pressure and challenges. So, you have to treat every movie as your first.”
