Sadhika plays a homemaker who faces an assault attempt, in ‘Bachelors’

Director Syam Lenin’s upcoming film ‘Bachelors,’ which is based on the theme of sexual anarchy, has actress

playing the female lead. In the movie, which has ‘Pettilambreta’ and ‘Kaithola Chathan’ fame Levin Simon as the male protagonist, Sadhika plays the role of a homemaker who faces an assault attempt.

Director Syam tells us, “The movie is set in the backdrop of New Year Eve celebrations in an apartment building. It is about a homemaker facing sexual assault and even murder amid all this, the attitude of different people towards the same, how a lot of youngsters today have anarchist attitudes and more.” The movie’s shoot was wrapped up last year and it was shot in and around Kochi. Sadhika says, “My character’s name is Ranjitha and she is in a hapless situation in the film. The movie goes on to show how events unfold once she faces the same and the rest of the events.”

The movie also has Seethal Syam, Sudev, Sai Kumar, Jiju Gopinath, Madhu Madassery and Lekshmi Achu in major roles. Its music is by Jecin George and editing is by Akhil Elias.

For the first time in her career, Sadhika will also be seen as police officers in two of her upcoming films, and the actress is quite thrilled about it.

While in director Joshiy’s Paappan she plays a civil police officer, in Soman Ambat’s Anjil Oraal Thaskaran, the actress is cast as a DySP. She tells us more, “It’s exciting that I’m getting to try a cop’s character in two movies. In Paappan, my character Girija Sundar is someone who supports the female lead in her journey, and appears throughout the length of the film. The movie’s shoot is almost over, but is delayed due to the current restrictions.”

In Anjil Oraal Thaskaran, her character

is investigating a particular crime. “It is a village-based story. In both the films, I get to do a bit of action too,” she says, without divulging much.

Sadhika will also be seen playing a character named Susan, in the upcoming Mohanlal movie Aaraattu, directed by B Unnikrishnan. She reveals, “It’s my first ever project with Lalettan and director Unnikrishnan sir. It’s a role that has combination with Lalettan too. And again, after Porinju Mariyam Jose, I’m playing Kuttettan’s (Vijayaraghavan) daughter-in-law in this movie.” She also has the film Four, directed by Sunil Haneef, coming up.
