Rojin Thomas speaks about teaming up with Prabhu Deva for ‘Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer’

Rojin Thomas’ directorial ‘Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer’ featuring Jayasurya in the lead role has gotten much bigger than when it started. After Anushka Shetty, Prabhu Deva is the latest star to join the film. The dancing superstar came onboard and started shooting in Kerala.

Rojin Thomas, the film's director, has shared his experience of meeting Prabhu Deva as a fan 13 years ago, and now directing him feels almost surreal to him. He shared a photo collage, which includes a throwback picture. In the note, he added, “Two unforgettable snapshots: one as a fanboy on the set of ‘Mercury’ movie and now, as a director welcoming the legendary Prabhu Deva Master to the world of KATHANAR. Overflowing with joy and gratitude for this incredible journey ahead. After 13 years, he is back in Malayalam cinema. #kathanarthewildsorcerer.”

Prabhu Deva has roped in to play a pivotal role in the upcoming film. The team gave him a warm welcome. In a note shared on Instagram, Jayasurya, the lead actor of the film said, “Welcoming The Prabhu Deva into the enchanting world of Kathanar.”

According to reports, Anushka Shetty has roped in to play the role of malevolent spirit. Touted to be a fantasy horror thriller, ‘Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer’ tells the story of Kathanar, a priest from Kerala, who is said to have possessed supernatural powers.
