RIP Puneeth Rajkumar: Suresh Gopi, Dulquer, Prithviraj and other Mollywood celebs pay tributes

Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar passed away on Friday (October 29), due to a cardiac arrest. He was 46. The star was rushed to the hospital after reportedly collapsing while working out in the gym. The actor was in the intensive care unit and despite the prayers of thousands, he breathed his last on Friday.

Puneeth Rajkumar’s untimely demise has come as a shock for the film fraternity and Mollywood actors have taken to their respective social media handles to pay rest to the late actor.
Superstar Suresh Gopi was taken aback by Puneeth Rajkumar’s demise. “Totally unexpected!!Rest in peace #PuneethRajkumar,” Suresh Gopi tweeted.

Dulquer Salmaan penned a heartwrenching note. “One of the kindest and warmest Actors/gentlemen. Praying to the almighty to give Puneeth Sirs family, friends and his ocean of fans the strength to cope with this irreplaceable loss. #RIP #PuneethRajKumar #Gentleman #actor #loss #cannotunderstand #soyoung,” he said.

Parvathy Thiruvothu who has worked with the late actor in ‘Milana’ penned, “It aches beyond words could ever express. Puneeth #PuneethRajkumar.”

Shraddha Srinath wrote, “At a loss for words. Shaking with sadness and anger. We lost our prince. My condolences to the family and fans. RIP Appu sir. There will never be another like you.”

Prithviraj Sukumaran was heartbroken hearing the superstar’s demise. “This hurts so much! Rest in peace superstar! May the family, friends and the millions of fans have the strength to tide through this sorrow! #PuneethRajkumar,” he shared.

Reba Monica John, who has worked in Kannada movies too penned a heartwrenching note on the superstar’s passing away. “This is Unfathomable. Puneeth Rajkumar Sir, one of the finest actors and above all, gem of a human, the pride of Kannadigas. The universe is too unfair. Gone too soon. Rest in peace, dear Sir! You will forever be remembered for all the amazing things you’ve done such a big loss,” she penned.

Veteran cinematographer PC Sreeram penned, “#ripPuneethrajkumar Indian film industry has lost its precious gem. May his soul rest in peace.”

Actress Nivetha Thomas expressed shock on the untimely demise of the superstar. “So shocked. Rest in peace Puneeth Rajkumar sir. Condolence and prayers to the family,” she tweeted.
