Rima slams comments that fat shamed Nazriya

Rima Kallingal has come out in support of Nazriya Nazim, the most recent victim of fat shaming in Mollywood. A few pictures of Nazriya where she appears to have put on some weight floating on the net had triggered the fat shaming comments in the virtual world. Now, actress Rima Kallingal has responded to this. Rima posted on her social networking page, “She was a happy, talented and wonderful human being and artiste before marriage and after her marriage! That is all that matters! NOT how she looks! Love to you! Waiting to see you back on screen.”
When contacted, Rima said that she is someone who reacts strongly against putting someone down on the basis of their looks.“I am totally against fat shaming and shaming anyone on the basis of looks, caste, creed, colour or anything for that matter. I feel every human being has the right to live with dignity here and no other human being has the right to belittle anyone or rob anyone of his self-esteem,” she said.
Ever since Nazriya’s wedding a few months back, her fans had been eagerly awaiting news about the actress, who had not posted any latest pictures of hers on her page. The ones she posted, detractors allege, are not new.
