Richa Panai had an impressive start in Malayalam with a few televisions ads, which in turn gave her a ticket to Mollywood. Though her stint as an actress in M’wood was not so successful, her comic role in the recently released Telugu movie,
Yamudiki Mogudu, got noticed. Now, we hear that the actress is all set to open her account in Kollywood. “Yes, I’ll be making my Kollywood debut soon in director
Suresh’s yet-to- be-titled film,” she says.
“My role in the Telugu movie was much appreciated. However, I will have an entirely different role in my next outing. If the Telugu movie had me as a mythological character, decked up in gold and complete with heavy make-up, in the Tamil movie I will sport a girl-next-door look,” says Richa.
The movie, which has Richa paired opposite Sethu, will be shot in Hyderabad and Chennai.
Meanwhile, Richa says she is in discussion for quite a few other projects. “I’m reading a few scripts and will be signing the dotted line soon,” is all she is willing to say for now.
