‘Rekhachithram’ box office collections day 11: Investigative drama mints more than Rs 39 crores

Asif Ali’s recently released investigative drama movie ‘Rekhachithram’ is collecting good numbers at the box office with decent audience reviews.


According to the Sacnilk website, the Asif Ali starrer has collected Rs 39.5 crore worldwide and the India Net collections stand at Rs 21.64 crore. The India Gross collections stand at Rs 23 crore and the overseas collections are Rs 16.5 crore.


In just 11 days, Jofin T Chacko’s directorial has made Rs 21.64 crore at the Malayalam net box office, and on the 11th day, the film has made a high of Rs 1.89 crore as per the early estimates. On day 1 the film minted Rs 1.9 crore that was followed by Rs 2.2 crore, Rs 3.3 crore, Rs 3.75 crore, Rs 1.95 crore, Rs 2 crore, Rs 1.25 crore, Rs 85 lakhs, Rs 1 crore, Rs 1.55 crore and Rs 1.89 crore.


Although the film has faced some ups and downs in the day-wise box office collections, overall ‘Rekhachithram’ is quite impressively managing to maintain a steady collection at the box office.


ETimes rated the film with a solid 3.5 out of 5 and our review reads, “Manoj K. Jayan and Zarin Shihab played their roles in a grounded and believable manner. Asif Ali has delivered a clean, subtle performance that suits the tone of the film. Anaswara Rajan, for once, has been utilised, and she gets the chance to use her acting prowess a little, even if the role is not a groundbreaking one. The lack of face-off dialogue between the protagonist and the antagonist makes it way better, especially because their silent face-offs have a much better impact and make them somewhat real. Asif Ali has once again delivered a watchable film.”
