Ramesh Pisharody to play a Dubai returnee in survival thriller 'No Way Out'

For the first time, director-actor Ramesh Pisharody is set to play a lead role in a film directed and scripted by debutant Nithin Devidas. The movie, which is currently in shoot, is titled No Way Out. In the film, June fame Raveena Nair will be paired with Ramesh.
“The film will be an edge-of-the-seat survival thriller, which demands a theatre experience for complete enjoyment,” reveals Nithin, as he goes on to tell us about the lead characters.“Ramesh Pisharody’s character is a Dubai returnee who hails from Kottayam. His name is David Cherian, and Raveena Nair plays his wife Suju’s role. The film is based on an incident that happens in their lives. It is also a story with universal appeal,” Nithin says.
The director reveals both the actors will be seen in looks that we haven’t ever seen them in. “Be it his looks in the popular show Badai Bunglow or the other projects he has been part of, Ramesh ettan’s get-up in No Way Out is strikingly different from all of them. As Suju is a practical, independent woman of today, Raveena’s appearance is also very different from how she was in films like June,” says the director from Palakkad, who has previously done ads and short films before venturing into directing feature films.
About what prompted him to pick Ramesh to play the protagonist, the director says, “I wanted someone whose personality is quite popular among the masses, to play David Cherian. At the same time, I felt it would be great for people to find some novelty in the reactions of this character to the situation emerging in the film. I feel the story can bring Ramesh Pisharody’s meter and acting skills to the fore, like never before.” The team is soon set to wrap up the shoot in a single schedule.
