Mollywood actor Shine Nigam will be trying his hand at comedy in director

’s upcoming movie. The film, which is set to go on floors soon, is Shane’s first acting venture this year.
Rajeevkumar, earlier this month, had announced that he was set to co-direct
AMMA
’s upcoming multi-starrer with
Priyadarshan. However, he tells us, “AMMA’s movie will take some more time for us to finalise the dates of all the actors involved. So, I will first be working with
Shane Nigam for a project in March.”
On the upcoming film, he says, “The movie discusses a contemporary issue but it will be told through humour. As far as Shane is concerned, he hasn’t done such a character so far. It’s a very different role that tells a socially-relevant tale in a light-hearted manner. I strongly believe that he can excel in the role. We will be finalising the rest of the cast in two days. Its plot is set in Thiruvananthapuram, which is also the main location.”
The film’s story is by Rajeevkumar while debutant Krishnadas Panki has written the script. Cinematographer Sudeep Elamon, editor Sreekar Prasad and composer Ramesh Narayan are part of the crew.
Rajeevkumar is also awaiting the release of Kolaambi, which has Renji Panicker, Rohini and Nithya Menen in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Shane Nigam has Ullasam, Veyil and Qalb coming up.
