After the controversy surrounding the recent National Awards distribution function where around 63 artists of the country boycotted the function against
Smriti Irani's decision to present the awards instead of Honorable President of the country, many personalities of the film industry has talked for and against the decision of artists who boycotted the function.
Among the ones who raised their opinion against the decision to boycott the award function was veteran Malayalam director Rajasenan.
Rajasenan, who appeared in a live video, clarified that
Fahadh Faasil, who was among the ones who boycotted the function, is his favourite actor among the new crop of Malayalam actors. He also reportedly added that he didn't criticize Fahadh alone, instead, he criticised all who boycotted the award ceremony.
"Don't mix religion with my criticism. I don't see religion in everything. To see religion in everything I should be a communist or congress supporter. But I am a true
BJP supporter. In your language, a Sanghi- one who worships RSS wholeheartedly," Rajasenan said in the live video.
The director thereafter was trolled on the social media for his comments.
