Rahman to star in a multi-lingual film titled ‘Samara’; read details

Samara

’, a multi-lingual film. Mollywood stars Tovino Thomas and Sunny Wayne has unveiled the first look poster of the film through their respective social media handles. Rahman will be co-starring with Bharath in the film and the first look poster itself looks promising. The film will be releasing in Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam languages simultaneously. Rahman is very selective when it comes to films and hence, the cinephiles could expect something exciting!

‘Samara’ is directed by debutant Charles Joseph. The newbie director himself is crafting the story and screenplay for the film. Apart from Rahman and Bharath, the film will also feature Sanjana Dipu, Binoj Villya, Neet Chowdhary, Rahul Madhav,

Shabare Esh Varma

, and Viviya Santh in pivotal roles.

The tagline of ‘Samara’ reads ‘Guarded by Providence’ and the film is touted to be an investigative thriller.

The film is produced by M K Subhakaran and Anuj Varghese Villyadath, under the banner Peacock Art House.

Sinu Sidharth

has roped in as the cinematographer and Ayoob Khan is the editor. Deepak Warrier is in charge of the music and background scores. Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma is penning the lyrics. The team has went on floors on January 5 and they have a 60-day schedule. Kashmir, Kulu, Atal Tunnel are the main locations of 'Samara'. The film will be releasing this year on the big screen.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rahman’s last Malayalam outing was ‘Virus’, helmed by Aashiq Abu where he essayed the role of a doctor in the medical thriller, based on the Nipah outbreak in Kerala, in 2018.
