Pets seemed to be the mental health anchor for many people during the lockdown. And celebs were endorsing ‘pet love’ aplenty.
Rahman was “tricked” by his daughter into getting a cat and now he seems to have totally lost his heart to pets.
The actor, who is looking his rugged best these days, posted a photo - looking cool in a leather jacket and blue jeans - with a cute, fluffy shih tzu, named Frankie, on social media.
Explaining why pets are so pampered and loved these days, Rahman wrote, “Animals have come to mean so much in our lives. We live in a fragmented and disconnected culture. Politics are ugly, religion is struggling, technology is stressful, and the economy is unfortunate. What’s one thing that we have in our lives that we can depend on? A dog or a cat loving us unconditionally, every day, very faithfully.”
Rahman has started shoot on Mani Ratnam film Ponniyin Selvan at Ramoji Film City, in Hyderabad. He had shared a post in early January saying that he was doing his first shot with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and he was “overwhelmed to share screen space with her”. The actor seems to have moved to the shoot of Telugu film Seetimaar with Tamannaah as his co-star.
As for the cat story? His younger daughter brought home a cat saying she had to watch it for a friend, but when the family fell in love with it, the ‘cat came out of the bag’ and she said that she had got it as a pet for them.
