The past few days have not been favourable for Ennu Ninte Moideen director RS Vimal and Prithviraj. Following the allegations levelled against Prithviraj by musician Ramesh Narayan, who claimed that Prithviraj was behind the omission of some of his songs from
Ennu Ninte Moideen, the online world had gone into a tizzy. It was even rumoured that Vimal and Prithviraj had parted ways, and their next collaboration ' a mega project titled Karnan, has been shelved.
However, the director pooh poohs the rumours, terming them 'not worthy of comments'. 'Roadblocks? The word doesn't exist in our dictionary. Whatever roadblocks are the ones created by people, and is probably their wish. We don't know of any,' he says. Vimal goes on to add that the pre-production of Karnan is progressing, and that he and Prithviraj discuss the scenes every now and then. 'The movie will be based on the original character in the Mahabharata, and will be made in four languages. Prithvi will play the title role, and we are in the process of casting the rest, who will be from Tamil, Telugu and Bollywood industries. We will be conducting auditions in Kochi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and other major cities to pick the right people. Work on the film will begin this year, and we are looking for an early 2017 release.'
He also adds that Prithviraj will change his physique to suit the character. 'We are setting up a gym for the entire cast, to maintain their fitness,' he says.
