Pulimurugan, first Malayalam film to cross Rs 100 cr

Mohanlal is having a dream run at the box office. After his Telugu venture Janatha Garage crossed Rs 100 crore, the actor's Pulimurugan has shattered all records in Mollywood to become the first Malayalam movie to cross the Rs 100 crore mark.
The movie, which is directed by Vysakh and scripted by Udayakrishna, has Mohanlal playing a hunter who tracks down tigers that venture in to populated areas and attack humans.
Pumimurgan has surpassed the records set by Drishyam and Premam, and is now looking to further its record breaking run. The movie was also released in Telugu last month.
