The Maradu Police have taken action against the producers of the hit film 'Manjummel Boys' following allegations of cheating and breach of promise. The case, registered based on a directive from the Ernakulam First Class Magistrate Court, stems from a petition filed by Siraj Valiyathara of Aroor, who claims to have invested Rs 7 crore in the project with the promise of a 40% share of profits.

As per the reports by On Manorama, according to the petitioner, the producers failed to honor their agreement, failing to fulfill their commitment of profit-sharing after the film's success. Despite repeated assurances, the petitioner alleges that he has not received any returns on his investment, leading to the filing of the complaint.

In his petition, Siraj asserts that he entered into an agreement in November 2022, investing Rs 7 crore in installments towards the production of 'Manjummel Boys.' However, he claims that the producers misrepresented the total investment for the project, leading him to believe it was significantly higher than the actual amount.

While the film reportedly raked in an impressive Rs 250 crores from box office collections, OTT, and satellite rights, the petitioner alleges that he has been deprived of his rightful share of the profits. The case registered against the producers includes charges of cheating and conspiracy, signaling a legal battle ahead for those involved in the production of 'Manjummel Boys.'

The movie is directed by Chidambaram and has actors Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Deepak Parambol, and many others.
