Priyadarshan is on a high these days. The master filmmaker has just delivered a hit with Mohanlal-starrer Oppam and now his film on AIDS awareness, Sila Samayangal, has made it to the final round for the category for foreign films in this year's Golden Globes Awards.
The director had said in an interview that the film is the only Indian movie to make it to the final 10.
The judges will be screening the movie and deciding the top 5 nominees for the awards within the next few weeks, he added.
Sila Samayangalil stars Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy, Nasser and Ashok Selvan. The film is about eight people who go to a pathology lab and their tensions and dilemmas as they wait for the results.
"It's an emotional feature film based on real-life humour and has a touching end," Priyadarshan had earlier told us. "When you make a movie with a serious message, you need some lighter elements that make people watch it."
