Prithviraj Sukumaran on ‘L2: Empuraan’: 'The first 25 minutes will feel like a Hindi film’

Mohanlal fans are eagerly counting the days to March 27 as the most awaited actioner ‘L2: Empuraan’ is hitting the big screens on the date. Now the actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed that 35 percent of the movie is in Hindi.



Talking to Galatta India, the L2: Empuraan’ director said that the movie is very national and international in scale and over 35 percent of the film is in Hindi. “For the first 20-25 minutes of Empuraan, it would feel like a Hindi film”, said Prithviraj Sukumaran during the interview.




Prithviraj also revealed that the grand scale of the second part was already planned in the year 2017, during ‘Lucifer’ and he also considers opening markets for a big project like ‘Empuraan’ will be beneficial.


As usual, Prithviraj described ‘L2: Empuraan’ as a ‘Small’ movie (he termed the same for ‘Lucifer’), during the teaser release function which happened recently. Explaining the same, the actor said, “I understand the hype around Empuraan, and I am trying my best to maintain that it is just another mainstream film. I want the audience to only give it that much thought, and go with an open mind.”


The ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ actor also said that no matter how much he promotes the film during interviews and other promotion events, it’s the audiences who decide the fate of a film. Prithviraj said, “The audience decides what they see, and what they receive from the film. That determines everything.”


Starring Mohanlal in the lead as Ab’raam Khureshi, ‘L2: Empuraan’ is the second installment of the superhit film ‘Lucifer’. The recently released teaser for the film promised a never seen before action entertainer and the expectations are quite high.
