Prithviraj Sukumaran: ‘Gold’ is a complete Alphonse Puthren film

Prithviraj Sukumaran, the young and talented Mollywood actor who doesn't relish the idea of being pigeonholed as a safe zone actor, is making his first team-up with the magnificent director Alphonse Puthren for the upcoming film ‘Gold’. Recently in an interview with an online media channel, the actor opened up on his most ambitious project, ‘Gold’, by saying that the film has all the elements one can expect from an Alphonse Puthren film.

During the interview, Prithviraj Sukumaran said that he is literally happy to see his favorite director Alphonse Puthren making a comeback after a long gap with ‘Gold’. The actor divulged, “ If we are to talk about the genre of the film, then I can say that ‘Gold’ is a complete Alphonse Puthren film. The factor that attracted me to ‘Gold’ was also because of the fact that Alphonse Puthren is directing the film”

Prithviraj Sukumaran further added by saying that he always wanted to work with Alphonse Puthren and with ‘Gold’, his dream has come true. He also added that he wishes to do more films with the ace director Alphonse Puthren in the future.

Recently, the makers unveiled an intriguing teaser for ‘Gold’ that showcased the signature making style of Alphonse Puthren that we saw in his previous works ‘Premam’ and ‘Neram’.

Prithviraj Sukumaran plays a character named Joshi S and Nayanthara essays the character Sumangali Unnikrishnan in the film ‘Gold’.

‘Gold’ has a casting coup of sorts as it comprises the actors Shammi Thilakan, Mallika Sukumaran, Shanthi Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Althaf Salim, Sabumon, Chemban Vinod Jose, Baburaj, and a bunch of special guest appearances.
