The much-anticipated sequel to the blockbuster hit 'Lucifer,' titled 'L2: Empuraan,' is gearing up for action, and director Prithviraj Sukumaran shared an exciting update on the film's progress.

Taking to social media, actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran unveiled a glimpse of the film's crew and announced the commencement of the next phase for 'L2: Empuraan.' Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and scripted by Murali Gopy, 'L2: Empuraan' serves as the action-packed sequel in a planned trilogy following the success of 'Lucifer,' released in 2019.

The film marks the return of the stellar cast, including Mohanlal portraying Khureshi-Ab'raam / Stephen Nedumpally, alongside Prithviraj, Manju Warrier, and Tovino Thomas in significant roles, with music composed by Deepak Dev.

The storyline of 'L2: Empuraan' is speculated to delve into the journey of Stephen Nedumpally, charting his transformation into Khureshi Ab'Ram, the enigmatic leader of an international crime syndicate.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal, the lead actor in 'L2: Empuraan,' is also eagerly anticipated in the upcoming Jeethu Joseph directorial 'Neru.' Set for release on December 21 this year, 'Neru' promises an enthralling narrative, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Jeethu Joseph, raising the bar of anticipation among audiences.
