Prithviraj Sukumaran-Basil Joseph’s ‘Guruvayoor Amabalanadayil’ gets a release date

The Prithviraj Sukumaran, Basil Joseph, Nikhila Vimal, and Anaswara Rajan starrer ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ is gearing up for release. The film, helmed by Vipin Das, is slated for release on May 16. The makers confirmed the release date on Sunday, April 21, via their respective social media handles.

‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ marks Basil Joseph and director Vipin Das’ collaboration after their blockbuster release ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’. The upcoming film is scripted by Deepu Pradeep, who has previously written the screenplay for ‘Kunjiramayanam’. ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ is said to be centered around a wedding taking place at the renowned Guruvayur Temple in Thrissur. The makers had recently launched the teaser, which received great feedback from movie buffs.

While announcing the film earlier, Prithviraj Sukumaran stated that he was delighted by the story of ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’. “This is a story that makes me smile every time I think of it since I heard it well over a year ago!” he said.

The upcoming film will also feature actors Jagadish, Rekha, Siju Sunny, Irshad, Kunhikrishnan, Manoj KU, and Tamil actor Yogi Babu in pivotal roles.
