Prithviraj-John Paul movie will be a mass entertainer
At a time, when Kerala is gearing up to reopen the theatres after almost eight months,
"The yet-to-be titled movie will be a mass entertainer. What we aim is to bring the crowd back to the theatre by making a full on entertaining film," says John.
The film is currently in the scripting stage. "I am co-writing it with Arunlal. As of now, we are planning to begin the shoot in April," he says.
The movie will have Guppy actor Chethan and musician Benny Dayal playing integral roles. "We haven't done the rest of the casting yet," he adds.
Prithviraj’s upcoming movies include Cold Case, Kuruthi and Aadujeevitham. His second directorial, the sequel of his debut movie as director Lucifer is under pre-production stage.
Kuruthi, directed by Manu Warrier, is touted to be a socio-political thriller. The film went on floors on December 9, 2020. Kuruthi’s tagline reads - ‘A vow to kill… an oath to protect! Apart from Prithviraj, the movie has Murali Gopy, Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, Srinda, Manikandan R Achari, Navas Vallikkunnu, Mammukkoya, Naslen, and Sagar.
Prithviraj’s virtual production, Gokulraj Bhaskar, is currently in the final stage of pre-production. It has been said that the movie will also start rolling soon. The team is currently setting up the studio. Rumours has it that South Indian actor Kicha Sudeep would play an important role in it alongside an ensemble star cast.
