Prithviraj-Jayasurya-Indrajith starrer ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ to get a sequel

Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jayasurya, and Indrajith Sukumaran starrer 2015 release will get a sequel soon. The Nadirshah directorial comedy entertainer, a fan favourite, was successful during its theatrical release and the film continues to entertain the audience. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, who co-scripted the film with Bibin George, recently revealed that the film will have a sequel. During a recent media interaction, Vishnu Unnikrishnan revealed that the sequel is in the works.Though the actor-director has confirmed the sequel, he didn’t divulge whether the original cast will be heading the upcoming sequel or not.
‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ also marked actor-comedian Nadirshah’s debut directorial. Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jayasurya and Indrajith Sukumaran played the titular roles of Amar, Akbar, and Anthony respectively, while Namitha Pramod played the leading lady. Actors Baby Meenakshi, Ramesh Pisharody, Asif Ali, Siddique, and, KPAC Lalitha, played some important roles in the film. Sujith Vasudev was the cinematographer for the film, with Johnkutty as the editor. The music for the film was composed by Bijibal. ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ had a theatrical run of 100 days.

Meanwhile, Vishnu Unnikrishnan’s recent release is ‘Dance Party’. Directed by Sohan Seenulal, the film hit the big screens this Friday. Actors Sreenath Bhasi, Prayaga Martin, and Shine Tom Chacko are seen in prominent roles in ‘Dance Party’.

On the other hand, Vishnu Unnikrishnan was recently filming for ‘Idiyan Chandu’, which is written and directed by Sreejith Vijayan. The film is said to be high on action, and the actioner is choreographed by Peter Hein.
