Prithviraj is all praise for Jakes Bejoy’s background score for Kuruthi

Some of music director Jakes Bejoy’s best works have been for Prithviraj Sukumaran’s movies – be it the infectious title track in

Ranam

or how he elevated Ayyappanum Koshiyum with his music. Jakes seems to be continuing that trend in his upcoming films with the star too.

Recently, Prithviraj had visited Jakes’ home in Erattupetta and the latter had posted the pic of them together, with the caption, “Cooler than cool. Ice cold! When the Superstar came home.” Prithviraj took it as a moment to laud Jakes’ work in his upcoming movie

Kuruthi

, which is directed by Manu Warrier.

“What you have done with and are doing with KURUTHI..is every film maker’s dream! Watch out for some really unusual yet scintillating scoring from this guy I’ve known for years! And thanks for the unbelievably good food from home! (sic),” wrote Prithviraj, who is also co-producing the film.

Prithviraj, who had wrapped up the shoot of Kuruthi last month, had previously posted, “In a career spanning 2 decades and more than a 100 films, Kuruthi has to be one of the most intense, fast paced shooting schedules I have ever been a part of. To make a full length feature film that has songs, thrills, suspense, high risk scenes, choreographed action and chase sequences and stunts in the deep forest...all this in such a short span of time, and yet achieve top quality technical finesse is incredible. Absolute full marks to the crew to have kept pace with this fast yet superbly efficient process. Couldn’t be more proud as a producer with what we’ve made, and couldn’t be happier as an actor to be part of a cast that’s delivered some stellar performances. Can’t wait for you all to watch this!”

The film is a socio-political thriller that also has Murali Gopy, Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, Srinda, Manikandan R Achari, Navas Vallikkunnu, Mammukkoya, Naslen and Sagar Surya as part of the cast.

Meanwhile, Jakes has also composed the music for Prithviraj’s upcoming movie Jana Gana Mana.
