Prithviraj encouraged me to act in Aami: Tovino

Rumours had been rife that Prithviraj had been replaced by Tovino Thomas in the movie Aami.
The film already had a major cast replacement, with Vidya Balan getting replaced by Manju Warrier after the shoot started, so the new replacement had set tongues wagging.
However, Tovino has now clarified that there is nothing controversial in his becoming part of the movie. Prithvi and he have been friends of years, and so when Kamal invited him to do the movie, Prithvi was the one he called first, he says.And Prithvi had told him to do the movie, come what may. Tovino is currently awaiting the release of his movie Mayanadi, which will see him acting with Aishwarya Lakshmi, in a script by Shyam Pushkaran and Dileesh Nair.
