Malayalam actress Prayaga Martin has recently found herself in controversy after her name appeared in a remand report linked to a drug bust in Kochi. It’s been reported that she, along with Sreenath Bhasi, visited a hotel where the accused, Om Prakash, was staying before he was arrested with an associate. Following the news, there were claims about the actress's involvement in the case and that she is awaiting police interrogation.
When ETimes reached out, Prayaga Martin stated that she had no connection to the drug case.
"I have no connection with this guy. Although we were in the same room with over 20 people, we had zero communication. I haven’t had any chats or cash transactions with him. I literally had to Google his name to figure out who he was when a reporter contacted me about this case. I also don’t use drugs—especially since I’m focused on my transformation for a comeback in the industry. I’ve been on a strict vegan diet for months, so I’m clean in that regard. Yes, I visited the hotel to meet my friends, but I have no connection to the drug bust," Prayaga stated.
When asked about the police interrogation, the actress revealed that the police had not reached out to her regarding her involvement in the case. However, she emphasized that she would fully cooperate with any legal proceedings.
