The shoot of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s directorial

Hridayam

, which was interrupted by the pandemic lockdown last year, has been progressing well since the team resumed shoot earlier this year. While the team had canned the portions in Kerala a month ago, the director of the Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan and

Darshana

Rajendran-starrer recently posted that they have now completed the Chennai schedule.

“Day before yesterday, we finished the Chennai schedule of Hridayam.. 95% of the shoot is over now.. Waiting for the rest 5% to be shot in March!!!” shared Vineeth on his social media page on Saturday, along with a photo of the team.

A few weeks ago, Vineeth had posted that this was the most fun he had had working in a movie since Nivin Pauly’s Thattathin Marayathu. “An amazing schedule of Hridayam got wrapped up in kochi today.. I think this is the most fun I had making a film ever since we made Thattam.. Tomorrow we r shifting our base to a new place.. Quite a few people showed up as our invited crowd for some of our shoots and they were all super nice and extremely co-operative.. I am putting this note as a thank you to all of them.. Thank u all.. the spectacular journey of making Hridayam continues!!! (sic),” posted the director on his social media page.

In an earlier interview with us, Vineeth talked about how lockdown had disrupted their plans to complete the shoot of the movie last year. “What we first heard here in Chennai was that there was a plan to shut everything down for 10 days, and resume by April first week. But by April, there was speculation that the lockdown could be extended and there came a point when we realised that this wouldn’t end soon. That’s when we started worrying. We had planned a lot of outdoor shoots in Chennai and those locations might not be available now. We also have a few crowd sequences in Kerala and we can’t even think about doing that in the near future. Now, even if we shoot under restrictions, we are risking people’s lives. So, we have understood that it will take time and there’s nothing we can do about that; all of us have agreed to wait till it’s safe,” he said.

The team resumed shooting earlier in January 2021.
