‘Prakashan Parakkatte’ is about a boy’s dream

Starring Dileesh Pothan, Aju Varghese, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Saiju Kurup and Mathew Thomas in the lead, yet another family film is all set to be made soon in the industry.

The film, which is to be directed by newbie Shahad, also has story, script and dialogues by Dhyan Sreenivasan. It has music by Shaan Rahman and Manu Manjith is penning the lyrics.

A source close to the film tells us, “Prakashan Parakkatte tells the story of a young boy’s dream, and also explores various family values, aspects like relationships, a father and son’s bond and more. It would be wrapped in humour and the shoot would start in January, 2021. The film is getting announced on Children’s Day as it’s an apt occasion for it.” Interestingly, the film’s location would be in the Malabar region. Actress Nisha Sarang is also part of the film, and plays Dileesh Pothen’s character’s wife. Its cinematography is by Guruprasad.

Recently, Dhyan Sreenivasan had told us that during the lockdown, he was working on at least three scripts. One of which, he had hinted, could be his second directorial venture as well – a family drama with Nivin Pauly and Aju Varghese. “We still haven’t finalised anything about it right now and that’s why we decided to go ahead with Manju Warrier starrer 9MM first,” Dhyan had told us, soon after the announcement of the project. Mathew Thomas also has the film ‘Operation Java’ coming up and Dileesh Pothan had recently started shooting his film ‘Joji.’ Aju Varghese has the films ‘Sajan Bakery Since 1962’ and ‘Tsunami’ coming up.
