Prabhu Deva joins Jayasurya-starrer ‘Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer’ sets

The eagerly awaited Malayalam epic 'Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer' witnesses a significant addition to its star-studded cast as Tamil actor Prabhu Deva graces the sets of the film, announced by the makers on March 16.

In a revealing online photo, the actor is warmly welcomed by the producer, lead actor Jayasurya, and director Rojin Thomas, marking a pivotal moment in the production's journey.


Prior to his arrival on set, Prabhu Deva embarked on a spiritual journey, visiting the revered Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Temple in Kochi, adding an auspicious touch to his initiation into the project.

Notably, Prabhu Deva's association with Malayalam cinema dates back to his appearance in the period film 'Urumi,' where he portrayed the character of Vavvali, a trusted friend to Chirakkal Kelu, as essayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.

His return to the Malayalam film industry with "Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer" amplifies the excitement surrounding the project, promising a dynamic addition to the ensemble cast.

Adding to the star power of "Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer" is the recent inclusion of Tamil actress Anushka Shetty, who joins the sets as the female lead.
