Post-production works of ‘Kaathal: The Core’ starring Mammootty and Jyotika progressing

Superstar Mammootty and Jyotika are teaming up for ‘Kaathal: The Core’, and the film is in its final stages. The post-production works of the film have started and the work is progressing at warp speed. The makers have confirmed the same, via a social media post. Makers of ‘Kaathal: The Core’ dropped a post on social media and said, “@kaathalthecore Post Production works on full swing ��.”

‘Kaathal: The Core’ is helmed by Jeo Baby, who had previously delivered ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’. The upcoming film is touted to be a light entertainer, and speaking to Kochi Times earlier, the director said, “It is for the first time that I am working on a script that is not my own. But I heard the story and I liked it and felt that it would be good if Mammukka played the lead and he too liked it. We were considering options for his wife and Mammukka suggested Jyothika and she too, liked the story and said a ‘yes’.”

Featuring Mammootty and Jyotika in the lead roles, the film is scripted by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria.

The first look poster of the film was earlier launched by Jyotika’s husband superstar Suriya. ‘Kaathal: The Core’ also marks Jyotika’s return to Malayalam cinema after 13 years, as her last outing in the industry was ‘Seetha Kalyanam’. The film is expected to hit the big screens soon.
