‘Porattu Nadakam’ OTT release: Where to watch the Saiju Kurup starrer

Saiju Kurup and director Noushad Saffron teamed up for the comedy-drama movie ‘Porattu Nadakam’ which unfortunately didn’t get much attention when it hit the big screens. Those who have missed the opportunity to watch the film in theatres, can sit and enjoy the Saiju Kurup starrer at the comfort of their home.

The Saiju Kurup starrer is available to watch online on Amazon Prime Video in Malayalam language along with subtitles. The movie is expected to gain much traction from the audiences after the OTT release.

Directed by Noushad Saffron, ‘Porattu Nadakam’ revolves around the story of the events of 21 days in an imaginary village named Gopalapura. The cinematography of the film was done by Noushad Shereef and the editing section was handled by Rajesh Rajendrann. The music of this satire film was composed by Rahul Raj and the movie was reportedly mounted on a budget of Rs 5 crore.


For those who love to read the review before watching a film, ETimes rated ‘Porattu Nadakam’ with a solid 2.5 out of 5. Our review reads, “Saiju delivers a predictable performance as Abu, with Dharmajan Bolgatty adding limited comic relief as Murugan, Abu's friend. Advocate Shukoor plays right-wing leader Gopal Ji, but his portrayal leans toward caricature rather than depth. The supporting cast, including Babu Annur and Chitra Shenoy, also fails to make a significant impact. Overall, the movie attempts to tackle pressing political and social issues but falls short due to its reliance on clichés and uneven storytelling. While it raises important concerns about political and religious manipulation, it lacks the sharpness necessary to stand out in a crowded genre.”


On the other hand, Saiju Kurup’s recently released comedy film ‘Bharathanatyam’ received much praise from the audiences when it started streaming on OTT. The movie unfortunately didn't get much traction when it hit the big screens.
